Shelley Arthur
Principal and founder of Visual Voice Captions.
Shelley began a career in court reporting in 1988 which evolved
into real-time captioning and CART services in the late 1990’s. She
sold her court reporting business and established VVC in 2000. She
then commenced researching and setting up various remote CART
stations. VVC was the consultant and CART providers for the first
remote pilot project in post-secondary institutions in Canada.
Her
expertise for onsite and remote CART/Captioning applications are
utilized in educational institutions and from local to international
disability conferences. She has worked in the Senate of Canada and the
United Nations. Shelley is a member, writer and presenter for a
multitude of organizations. She has served on court reporting and CART
association councils.

Leo Valdes
ConsultantLeo has worked with international organizations,
governments, NGOs and institutes to further the accessibility of
information technology. His projects include accessible and usable web
design, accessible dynamic web sites and accessible streaming media.
As a specialist in accessible and usable web design, Leo provides
seminars and workshops, sponsored by governments and the United
Nations, to policy-makers and technology experts around the world. Leo
Valdes is the managing director of
Vision Office Support Services,
Ltd., based in North Vancouver, BC, Canada. and a founding
director of the WorldEnable
